Not very bad per se. It would be summer and winter for the whole planet, in longer cycles. It didn't hurt the development of advanced civilizations on earth at all. You have pressure to adapt.


No, it would have summer and winter PLUS normal summer and winter. Think about that. If the ellipse would be small enough to produce summer/winter for the equator, imagine what a tilt would do to the tropical regions. DOUBLE the size of winter and summer temperatures would be VERY BAD.

And this isn't the case for this planet. This planet goes entirely outside and inside the habitable zone. By a lot.


Their stats say all boundaries are inside the habitable zone.

And the more climate fluctuation, the better for advanced organisms. Very good. You need to shake the bottle for growth
