The world began with some people's memories. Displaying weather data has been largely consistent across the past six or seven decades, which apps have mirrored.
If the author had made an attempt to explore the issue beyond a single point of reference, or had any other experience to draw from, there's no reason they wouldn't have mentioned it for comparison unless they knew it would have weakened their argument.
Gruber literally downplayed the LassPass scam app by saying it wouldn't rip you off as much as other scam apps might. I wish I was exaggerating:
> Instead, the scam LassPass app tries to steer you to creating a “pro” account subscription for $2/month, $10/year, or a $50 lifetime purchase. Those are actually low prices for a scam app — a lot of scammy apps try to charge like $10/week.
(emphasis mine)
I have seen yoga practitioners less flexible than the contortions Gruber can get himself into to downplay Apple fuck-ups.
Lucky victims, I guess?
hey could have been scammed for more?
He also outright claims, without zero evidence whatsoever, that to his eyes, "it doesn't look like this was made to steal LastPass credentials".
Well thanks for your insight, John.
Very much a "yeah maybe it sucks and shouldn't happen, but this is no big deal, really, so why are you getting all up in Apple's face about it?" vibe.
Yeah, there's a lot of distros that ship Cutefish DE packages. Manjaro has a community edition with this DE, and you can install at anywhere. Its' better for the long run.
All data copied and deleted in ransomware attack. The ConnectSUS database has all the information, health history, and much more sensitivity data, documents numbers, profile pictures, vaccine records, and more.
Reuters[0] was the only english source that I could find, sorry
So far, the press release doesn't say about locked files, stolen data, or data loss. I think it's not that bad, and it's strange to capture all that data without someone noticing. The alleged group didn't put a wallet address or showed interesting of selling all the stuff, really strange, and people are saying this "hack" was not a real threat.
