Yes! The most amazing part about those things was they achieved all those axis' of motion with one or two motors.

Totally, my first revision control system was unwittingly developed by me as a kid to keep progressive backups of my simcity cities.

Some folks have actively fought against the "Manhattan-ification" of SF for many years. So much so they have a name for them "NIMBY" standing for not in my backyard. Now there are YIMBY folks too. It's a whole thing.
