I'm working on a daily word puzzle game called Hinted. Wordle for people with half a brain. Streaks that are forgiving and a way to track your friend's progress. https://hintedgame.com

LLMs have awareness for the time they are spawned into memory. But it's very limited, think about if you could use your brain to think, but only after someone asked you a question. After you think the answer, then you are brain dead (unconscious) until another question is asked.

What I actually like about Apple products is the heft. They feel premium and the heaviness contributes a lot to the premium feel.

I tried a ThinkPad X1 Carbon as well, it felt like a toy.

I'm not sure you want heaviness in a laptop?

This is how open source wins

I use to enjoy diggnation, but now every episode is about them claiming not to be alcoholics when they clearly are.

nice numbers, but what does this actually mean?

What does this model do that others can't already.

Valve just defeated Meta and Xbox in one go. nice.

Is there any way to edit programs in my own editor?

I can't work with these blocky fonts.

Yes, you can write code in a separate file and then import it to cartridge with tic-80 console commands[1]

You don't have to do this manually every time, just make a shell script with multiple commands; e.g. this will import code, save and run the cartridge:

    ./tic80 --skip --fs="$PWD" --cmd="load cart.tic & import code main.lua & save & run
The other way is indeed to buy or build yourself a PRO version, it can work with cartridges in plaintext format.

There is, but it's one of the few features reserved for the pro version ($10)

You can also build the Pro version yourself for free according to the docs: https://github.com/nesbox/TIC-80/wiki/PRO-Version

It must be a slow news day.

It's a Show HN that doesn't appear to be vibe-coded AI slop. I'll take it any day of the week.

Both Claude and GPT5 can single shot this type of game. The score counter looks exactly like the type of thing Claude spits out.

OP made the game with its own engine so I think that makes it very unlikely

Fair enough, it is impossible to know. I'm making an assumption based on the fact that the use of AI wasn't mentioned anywhere I could see, and people usually mention it.

Vibe-coding is old news. We’ve moved on to ant-coding.

These api models are for developers. Gemini is for consumers.
